MULLY CHILDREN’S FAMILY

DECEMBER 2025: PRAYER MCF PRAYER REQUESTS

PRAYING FOR SAFETY AND PROTECTION AT MCF YATTA

MCF Yatta stands as one of the most vibrant and transformative campuses within the Mully Children’s Family. It is home to Mully College, the MCF Yatta Farm, and the EC Poultry Project—three pillars that together provide an environment where children and youths receive holistic development. Here, young people benefit from shelter, parental care, spiritual nourishment, free formal and informal education, skills training, and opportunities to discover and grow their talents. As one of MCF’s 11 campuses across Kenya, MCF Yatta currently hosts more than 1,300 children and youths, supported by over 200 coworkers dedicated to helping them build futures rooted in faith, dignity, and purpose.

However, despite the impactful work happening on campus, a serious safety threat has become a pressing concern. The Thika–Garissa Highway, which borders MCF Yatta, has become a dangerous black spot due to high-speed traffic in both directions. This poses a constant risk for pedestrians crossing the road, beneficiaries and coworkers moving around the campus, and vehicles entering or exiting the main gate. Each day brings anxiety and caution as road users navigate this hazardous stretch.

In recent weeks, this danger has resulted in heartbreaking incidents. On 21st November 2025, a Mully College student was struck by a speeding vehicle. Just days later, on 30th November 2025, another student was similarly hit. The second victim, a young girl full of promise, remains hospitalized in critical condition. These tragedies have deeply shaken the MCF family, prompting united prayer, reflection, and urgent action as we continue trusting God for the complete healing of the affected students.

In response, MCF has formally appealed to the government road authorities for immediate intervention. Requests include installing speed bumps, rumble strips, proper road signage, and other safety measures to slow vehicles and increase visibility. While such approvals often take time due to bureaucratic procedures and competing priorities, MCF continues to follow up with determination, believing the authorities will act swiftly to prevent further harm.

We humbly ask for your prayers during this critical period. Please pray for the complete healing of the two Mully College beneficiaries injured in the recent road accidents, and that they will experience no long-term complications from their injuries. Pray also for favour and accelerated approval from the government authorities as we seek essential safety interventions along this dangerous stretch of road. We ask for protection and safety for all MCF beneficiaries, coworkers, and community members who use this road daily.

Psalm 121:7-8 – NIV
“The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

Jeremiah 17:14 – NIV
“Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”

BORN ON ARRIVAL – A JOURNEY FROM DESPAIR TO HOPE

On Thursday, November 27th, 2025, MCF Malindi opened its gates to welcome a new group of 35 girls and 13 babies, each carrying deep hopes for a renewed life. Among them was Dina (not her real name), a teenage girl who was partly orphaned and heavily pregnant, quietly holding onto the little strength she had left after years of hardship.

Dina’s childhood was filled with profound pain. As the second of eight siblings, tragedy struck her family when her father was poisoned. His death caused great devastation, and soon after his burial, the family lost their land, home, and belongings. Cultural stigma led the community to reject them because Dina’s mother had given birth to seven girls and only one boy. With nowhere to go, Dina, her mother, and all her siblings became homeless.

Her schooling ended abruptly in 2020 when she dropped out of seventh grade to help her mother find food for the younger children. Vulnerability pushed her into unhealthy relationships with men who offered financial support. She soon became pregnant, only to be abandoned after giving birth to her daughter. Still longing for stability, she trusted another man who promised to support her and set up a small grocery shop for her. Instead, he took advantage of her and left her empty-handed. Months later, she discovered she was pregnant again—this time without any access to prenatal care.

On the very day MCF rescued her, November 27th, Dina unexpectedly went into labour. The next day, she delivered a healthy baby boy—a powerful symbol of new beginnings and the hope she found at MCF. For Dina, arriving at MCF meant stepping into safety, dignity, and the embrace of a family rooted in Christ’s love.

As Dina and the others begin their two-year journey of healing at MCF Malindi, we humbly ask for your prayers. Pray that each girl and baby will encounter the saving grace of Jesus Christ, rediscover their God-given worth, gain confidence, and be empowered with skills that will help them build stable futures. May God surround them with His love and guide them into lives filled with purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11 – NIV
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Psalm 34:18 – MSG
“If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.”

A TIME TO GIVE AND A TIME TO CELEBRATE

During this Christmas season, the Mully Children’s Family is once again reaching out to surrounding communities with meaningful activities designed to win souls for Christ and share the joy of His birth. While many families gather for festive meals and celebrations, countless vulnerable families served by MCF struggle even to meet basic needs. For them, Christmas can highlight the painful realities of poverty.

In Christlike compassion, MCF continues to minister to those society often neglects, street children, vulnerable senior citizens, families living in hardship, and children with disabilities or Down syndrome who may face stigma or abandonment. MCF seeks to restore dignity by sharing the gospel and providing Christmas gifts that bring hope and joy.

This month, MCF teams are engaging in impactful outreach programs, including cleanup exercises at the Kithimani and Matuu markets, tree planting, and sharing the gospel with residents. Outreach to vulnerable seniors will include health encouragement, blankets, Christmas food packages, and personal effects. Children with disabilities will be visited, played with, and given Christmas gifts for themselves and their families.

The team will also minister to street children in Matuu through feeding programs, deworming, first aid, and gospel sharing. At Yatta Prison, they will prepare a hot Christmas meal, distribute toiletries, and offer Christmas packages to wardens. Additionally, MCF will visit police stations in Matuu, Yatta, and Ngoliba to appreciate and encourage officers.

All activities will culminate in the Community Christmas Feeding Program, where many will hear the gospel and receive a Christmas food package.  We invite you to pray and consider giving toward this mission so that the light of Christ may reach even more hearts.

Proverbs 19:17 – TPT
“Every time you give to the poor, you make a loan to the Lord. Don’t worry—you’ll be repaid in full for all the good you’ve done.”

Matthew 25:40 – NIV
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
